Live BTC News does not sell personal information about visitors to this site, and we don't set tracking cookies, run advertising trackers, or build profiles of readers. We don't require an account to read anything here, and there's no mailing list or contact form on the site itself. What follows is a plain description of the limited data that does get handled when you load a page, most of which is created by infrastructure rather than by us.
Our hosting provider may automatically log standard technical information, such as IP address, browser type, and access times, the way most website hosts do for security and performance purposes. We don't use that information for profiling, advertising, or marketing, and we don't combine it with anything else.
Cookies, logs and browser storage. We don't set any cookies of our own for analytics, advertising, or tracking. Our hosting and network provider may set strictly necessary cookies, such as a security or bot-detection cookie, which exist to keep the site reachable and are not used to profile you or target advertising. Standard server logs may record technical details such as IP address, browser type, referring page and access time, the way nearly every web host does. The price ticker also saves the last prices it successfully loaded into your own browser's local storage, so the numbers aren't blank if a data provider is briefly unavailable. That entry stays on your device, holds nothing that identifies you, is never sent to us, and clearing your browser data removes it.
Price data on this site, including the ticker and our tools, is loaded directly from third-party market data providers. Those requests are made from your browser to their servers, not routed through us, and are subject to each provider's own privacy practices.
This site links out to the original articles behind every headline we summarize. When you click one of those links, you are leaving livebtcnews.com and entering a third-party website, which may collect information according to its own terms and privacy policy. We'd encourage you to review a site's own policy before sharing any information with it.
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version.
Questions about this policy can be sent to hello@livebtcnews.com.
