Mostly to private wallets, by one tracker's estimate. Binance's tracked exchange assets fell from about $144.9 billion on October 29 to roughly $128.31 billion early on November 2, a drop of about 11.4%, according to DefiLlama data cited by Bitcoin.com News. Part of that is the roughly $6.3 billion the attackers took and part is lower crypto prices, but most of the decline came after withdrawals reopened on November 1. Binance's own figures for that day, 06:00 to 15:30 UTC, showed $4.649 billion withdrawn against $1.01 billion deposited. Whale Factor data put Binance's 24-hour loss near $4.5 billion while the next ten exchanges together took in only about $368 million, with OKX getting the largest share and Kraken gaining 1,422 BTC, so roughly nine of every ten dollars appear to have left exchanges altogether. Not everything is open yet: one critic counted 21 of 252 listed assets available for withdrawal, and a user reported HYPE withdrawals still off. Changpeng Zhao read the numbers the other way: "98% choose to stay! Trust isn't earned by what you say in good times. It's earned by what you do in hard times."
