Bitcoin fell to just under $81,000 at 00:50 UTC alongside an Asian chip selloff, then climbed back above $83,000 while those markets stayed broken. The KOSPI plunged more than 6% intraday, fell below 6,000 and hit its lowest since late July, with Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix each down roughly 8% and extending losing streaks to five sessions. Nasdaq futures fell 0.6% on top of Monday's 0.78% decline, and the Hang Seng slipped 0.4%. Ether bounced off five-day lows and XRP turned up from three-week lows. The dip and the chip rout lined up, the recovery did not, and no causal explanation for the divergence has been offered. One session is not a decoupling, but it is the first time in a week that Bitcoin has not simply done what equities did.
