Bitcoin opened Tuesday at $86,597.82, 6.7% above Monday's open, before sliding to $86,035.18 by 7:20 a.m. ET. Ethereum opened at $2,775.96, up 5%, and eased to $2,734.44. Both are now up more than 10% on the week and the month, back at levels last seen in January. Brent crude at $98.49 is part of it, a relief after trading above $100 a barrel, and short liquidations did the rest.
