Hackers published Revolut customer data and demanded 10,000 BTC, roughly $770 million at current prices, a figure large enough that it reads more as leverage or provocation than a realistic payment expectation. Publishing the data before the demand inverts the usual sequence, which removes whatever incentive the company had to pay. It lands in a stretch that already included the Liquid Network withdrawal, the Coldcard exploit and the Zilliqa emergency fork.
